Dee Baunsgaard Lennard — floral designer, aesthete, educator.

With over 30 years working at the intersection of Scandinavian design and floral craft, Dee has built a reputation for work that is quietly bold — arrangements that speak through restraint rather than excess.

Born and raised in Denmark, Dee trained under some of Europe's most respected floral designers before building her own body of work and designing directly for private clients. Throughout her career she has taught extensively, leading workshops and hands-on training for both industry professionals and flower enthusiasts. A sought-after speaker and demonstrator at floral events, she shares her approach to design with warmth and clarity.

Dee's work spans far beyond the studio. Her designs have been featured many times in WedLuxe magazine, and earlier in her career she competed in numerous floral competitions, earning multiple awards for her work. Her expertise also extends into visual merchandising and large-scale floral installations — designing for retail spaces, showrooms, and trade environments. For years she collaborated with a photographer and graphic designer, creating designs for Hofland's bi-annual wholesale catalogue, showcasing her signature natural and textural style.

In 2025, Dee founded Design & Bloom as a natural extension of her lifelong passion for teaching and sharing her craft. Through her online courses, she now brings her knowledge and experience to students around the world, guiding them to build strong mechanics, refined skills, and the confidence to create designs they are truly proud of.

On a day off, you can find Dee in the garden, in the forest, with family, or enjoying a perfect latte with a friend — always drawing inspiration from nature and simple, beautiful moments.

Through everything she creates and teaches, Dee remains deeply committed to one belief — that with practice, patience, and the right foundation, anyone can learn to design something truly beautiful.
